These terms apply to schools that use the SomaNet school management system.
1. Licence
SomaNet is licensed to a school for use on its own server computer for the period and number of learners shown on its licence. The school may not copy, resell or modify the program.
2. School data
The school owns and is responsible for the data it enters into SomaNet, including obtaining any consent needed from parents, learners and staff. The school should keep regular backups; SomaNet provides tools for this.
3. Cloud backup
When a school connects its Google Drive or OneDrive account, backups are stored in that school's own account and storage. The school is responsible for keeping that account and its backup password safe. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Updates and support
SomaNet may install program updates automatically to fix problems and add features. Support is provided by the vendor during the licence period.
5. Limitation
SomaNet is provided as is. The vendor is not liable for losses caused by hardware failure, power or internet problems, or failure to keep backups.
